I like to have an initial conversation to find out more about you and your company and to talk about what your objectives for the piece of work are. If I understand the audience you’re targeting and why, I can refine my research accordingly.
I normally quote on a project basis. This means you only have one fixed cost to budget for.
Once my quote has been accepted I’ll send you a brief to fill in (I’m also happy to do this over the phone Q&A style). The brief will detail, for example: key messages, format, approximate length, and will provide me with the information I need to do a great job for you.
I’ll do telephone interviews and research and combine these with the information you provided in the brief to write a first draft of the work you’ve commissioned. It will be written in a way that meets your brand guidelines and connects with your target audience.
I’ll present you with a first draft for review. Your comments (and any feedback from your team or customers) will be included in a second draft, with any further minor amends incorporated in the final draft.
I’ll ask you to approve the final document via email before invoicing for the project.
